High Rise Denim Shorts in Dark Wash

The hem is left raw on purpose, so the edge softens and frays a little with wear instead of staying sharp forever. The rise sits high on the waist, which is what lengthens the look of the leg below it. The blend is 94% cotton, 5% polyester and 1% spandex, so it is mostly cotton with just enough stretch to move in. The model is wearing a small, and sizing down gives a more fitted result.

A dark wash is the version of this that works well past the beach. It takes a plain tee in the daytime and something with more going on after dark. Shorts like these tend to survive several summers, which is really the only test that counts.
